Who we are

A E Hobbs Ltd (“we”, “us”) is an independent community pharmacy at 72 Mount Pleasant Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells TN1 1RJ, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (premises 1033007). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

The information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details you provide — name, email, phone and address.
• Health information you share when requesting prescriptions or booking clinical services. This is “special category” data under UK GDPR and is treated with the highest level of protection.
• Details of your GP surgery and the medicines you request.
• Basic technical data (such as your IP address) used only to keep our website secure.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information to provide pharmacy and healthcare services, to respond to your enquiries, and to meet our professional and legal obligations.

For health information, we rely on Article 9(2)(h) of the UK GDPR — the provision of health and social care by a health professional. For general enquiries, we rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you.

How we protect it

Your data is stored on secured systems with access strictly limited to authorised pharmacy staff. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and health data is never sent to third parties by insecure means such as plain email.

We keep records only for as long as required by pharmacy and NHS guidance, after which they are securely destroyed.

Sharing your information

We share information only where necessary to provide your care — for example with your GP, the NHS, or NHS-approved systems — or where we are required to by law. We never sell your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and — in some circumstances — to ask us to erase or restrict it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
